After Effects RAM Preview locks ups EVERY time
Here’s the problem,
every time I hit RAM preview button is pain, the machine locks up for 4-5 minuts as I can hear the HD working
when it unlock it renders everything really fast and plays fine with audio,
crazy thing is:
if I hit space button it takes seconds to render AT THE SAME res. / bpc etc. and the plays fine (no audio tho)if I render the timeline piece via space button and then hit Ram Preview, it locks up again and than plays fine
seems like some issue related to “hitting the RAM Preview button” and not with rendering nor playing back
I’m using an i7 iMac with 32GB RAM and another CRAZY THING is that if I open the project with my late 2011 i7 MacBook Air it doesn’t lock up and works super fast
Please help me I need to sync the animation with the audio and I’m going crazy with it!

Is it possible to be related to nidifiedcprojecrt in the project?

It could be that you have ‘Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously’ checked in the memory preferences – this can save time when doing a final render, but it can be a pain when used for RAM previews.
