After Effects only delays sound but not the video, the frame rate is fine
Hi!
For a presentation, I had to rip a video from the internet (.mp4) and edit just one scene. When I play it in QuickTime or Preview on my Mac, everything works fine. But when I import it into After Effects, the audio is delayed by about 200%, while the video looks fine.
When I render it in Media Encoder, the audio also gets messed up. I even converted the file to ProRes first in Media Encoder, but the problem remains. The same thing happens when I import it into Premiere Pro.
I can’t just speed up the audio because it won’t sync properly with the video anymore.
I also tried exporting the audio separately in QuickTime, it plays correctly there, but once I import it into After Effects, the delay comes back.
Interestingly, I edited a few other videos the same way and they work fine. So what’s going on with this one?
