    Hi Adolfo,
i am running cs4 at the new dell t7500 with 2 Prozessors, and 12GB Ram.

But AE is incredibal slow. My Old Notebook M90 with Dual Core and 4 GB Ram is much, much faster.

To get out a 5 Minutes quicktime referenze (avid-dv codec) as a mpg, after effects need up of 30 minutes (without multiprozessing and using only 30% ram). If i enable multiprocessing the machine need up of one hour.
The same work, with the same harddrives (external) my notebook needs 5 minutes only.

I have tryed a lot (two weeks)settings in the presets (cache, multiproccing, ram) but without any access.

Good idea would be great – and helpful of corce ;).

    Hi Adolfo,

I’m running into issues where it’s showing incorrect system values.

This is what I run on:
    OS: Windows 7 64bit
    MB: DFI UTX58 T3eH8
CPU: Intel Core i7 975 Exteme @ 3.33GHz – (Overclocked to at one point @ 4.00GHz) I know I could go more but not at this time.
    RAM: OCZ 12GB DD3-1600
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 285 GTX 1GB

    Please see this image below:

I have 12gigs installed and the prefs are only showing 8 installed.
Windows 7 shows I have 12gigs installed and so does CPU-Z.

Mind you that the latest updates have been applied to CS4.
Would the patch resolve the issue with the correct amount of ram installed?

    Thanks!

    Nubian:
As you can imagine, Windows 7 is not supported by the current release of After Effects. That’s usually the case for any major OS upgrade that is released after the application itself.
I’d love to help, but honestly I don’t have Win7 installed here and have my hands full helping people who are running supported OS/hardware configurations 🙂

    Hello,
well my i7 cpu renders with only 1!!! Core, which is a cpu load of 16% even though i have 4 threats of AE running.
Will the patch speed up things? or is the mentioned patch already in the 9.02 update, which i have already installed.

    Best regards
    Jörg
