    Hi all

I thinking about buying a broadcast monitor to help my motion graphics and colour correction work.

    I working on a laptop running AE6.5.

Can someone please tell me more about the firewire preview from after effects onto an external tv monitor. Does it work as good as it should?

Which firewire to composite converter is recommended?

Any other words of advise? I

Originally, we were using a Canopus ADVC-100 converter box to go into our monitor. So we would go firewire out of the PC into the ADVC-100, and then video out of the ADVC-100 into the monitor (you will need a cord which is RCA-out to component-in to go from the ADVC-100 into the monitor).

We’ve since upgraded to the the Canopus Storm 2 video card, so now we go straight out of the box to the monitor. However, if you’re working off a laptop you’ll have to do the former.

A monitor is a must have. Colors look completely different from a computer screen vs. a preview monitor, and the difference between a laptop and monitor is even greater.

    Good luck!
