After Effects Macros?
Good afternoon everyone. I am working on a project with about 40 or so separate drawings, each one containing anywhere between 30 to 40 layers that need the same treatment.
For each layer of each drawing I am currently:
1.Importing the drawing
2.Pre-comping each layer
3.Tracing over the strokes with the pen tool to create a mask
4.selecting all of the layers in the particular drawing and setting the write-on effect, to reveal each stroke.
5.Copying the mask coordinates, and pasting them to the Write-on Brush position.This is allowing me to achieve the desired results, yet the tracing process and the copying of the mask and pasting to the write-on brush position are very time consuming. I’m thinking there is probably no easy way to get around the tracing bit, but I feel like there must be a better way to do the copy mask shape and paste to write-on brush position. Macros ,expressions, any work flow help you can give would be appreciated.
