After Effects lagging in a very crazy way
Working on a pretty simple AE project in AE2020 on a 2016 Macbook Pro (specs below) and something crazy happening like Ive never seen before. I have 3 different sets of comps – comps with graphics, comps with photos, and comps with live text. I was working from my PC desktop but moved over to Macbook yesterday to work on a different project, then started on this one today. Everything except the text comps works fine. But when Im in the comps with text and let me emphasize ONLY text with SIMPLE animations – not even motion blur – there is tons of lag and pinwheels and slow down. No other project is having this issue. Ive never had any issues working on AE on this computer. Any thoughts at all from anyone on what could be causing this issue?
.aep specs – 1920×1080, 23.98 fps, 5 minute runtime, 8bpc, classic3D, no motion blur
Mac specs – Processor : 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, Memory : 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Graphics Card : Radeon Pro 560 4 GB
