    Hi everyone,

Hopefully you can help me figure out what’s going on. I’m working with After Effects CC and Illustrator CC. I’m trying to import some assets I created in Illustrator (.ai file) but every time I do it AE imports the same file (not one I want) over and over again.

    Here’s what I’m doing:

Import File > ProzessVideo01_Scene4.ai as Composition – Retain Layer Sizes

But what comes up is ProzessVideo01_Scene[02-14].ai which doesn’t exist. The file contains the layers of ProzessVideo01_Scene2.ai but they’re all labeled “ProzessVideo01_Scene[01-14]. If I try to do it again it still imports the same file.

Sometimes an error message come up about telling me that the file is “missing frame 6” but there shouldn’t be any frames in it because it’s just layers of art.

Right now I can’t get any of my art to import besides just that one file over and over again.

Any thoughts on what’s going on and how to fix it?

Make sure you are not importing it as a sequence. There’s a *format* sequence checkbox in the import window.
