  After Effects keeps freezing up

  Ugh, this is getting very frustrating.

  I’m working on a fairly complexe project and every so often, After Effects will freeze up for no noticeable reason.

  If I ctrl+alt+del, I can see that half my CPU power is being used (I have a dual xeon, so it looks like one of my CPUs is at full capacity). And no matter how long I wait, AE will not unlock.

  If I cancel the process, AE goes back to normal, it will ask me if I want to save the changes (I usualyl click cancel and I can keep working).

  But every so often, the program will freeze up, I will cancel the process and its bye bye AE.

  Has this ever happened to anyobdy?
