After Effects in the Cloud SaaS for Sale
Hi all,
Not sure if we’re even allowed to post about software that is for sale or not, but over the last year, me and a small team have developed an SaaS website, where users/clients log in, fill in a form with text, images, videos, etc., and this form pings After Effects that is set up on a cloud to render a pre-set template for them and then send a link of the rendered video via email. We’ve even set it up to be able to have the video uploaded directly to various social media sites for the client.
The idea behind it is to be able to instantly update a pre-set animated template by simply filling in a form, meaning the client could do so without any prior knowledge or know-how of After Effects. This could work with countless animated templates, to the extent that you could also eventually add on an animated template library as part of the offering.
The whole system is set up and running and is at an advanced MVP stage, and we’ve even spent around 6 months testing with users on a ‘free to use’ basis.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot carry on with this project, even though we all saw the potential in it, but due to things out of our control our only option is to sell the whole setup at this point.
Again, assuming I’m allowed to post such a post here, I was wondering if there might be someone who is interested in such a setup, and if so, would like to get in touch so that we could go through everything with them, site semantics, show them the ropes, etc. and eventually possibly sell.
The set up could be used for a number of different industries, including Gaming, News, Live Events, Property, Retail, Sales, TV, or even sub letted to marketing agencies who could offer it as a white-labelled service to their own clients

That’s a strange coincidence, someone on the official Adobe forums has been asking about AE reading word docs and pushing out videos. Not exactly the same thing as this project, but I imagine it wouldn’t take too much adapting:

Thanks for the heads up Graham. We’ve had some interesting response to my post, to the extent that we are now trying our utmost to see the way forward and avoid selling the platform, while also discussing the best way forward.
Just checked out the post and sent a reply, so we’ll see where that takes us.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a ready-made SaaS business with a proven concept and existing user base. The seller has done all the hard work of building and testing the product, and you can step right in and start marketing and selling. The potential for customization and expansion across different industries is also very promising.

Hit up some online groups like SaaS forums or startup pages on social media. You could also post your SaaS on sites where tech peeps look to buy or invest in stuff.
