I have an illustrator file layers and I’d imported it on After effects and started the animation. If the client asks for changes on the design, and layers are added to the illustrator file, is it possible to make the new layers appear without losing what was animated?

Attention: There are new layers, not just changes on existent layers.

If you think there are going to be additional layers, it’s best to add in some blank layers ahead of time because, no, AE will not recognize and add new layers.

Alternatively, you can re-import the file and then copy and paste the new layers into the original composition if that helps.
