I captured HDV in Premiere as an mpeg, imported into AE, but the audio is all out of sync. It’s in sync on the clip itself, so I know it wasn’t the capture. Is it a GOP issue where I would be better off converting it to an AVI to work with?

I’ve had some issues with AE 7 using Premiere Pro 2-captured HDV native clips. I ran into all sorts of GOP-related hiccups when using the mpegs w/in AE 7. I now capture HDV in PPro, then render out to another codec within PPro for use in AE.

Hey there..my audio synch probs with HDV in after effects have driven me crazy. I try to work with the Mpeg2 in AFX and it sucked. Are you saying that buy converting those audio synch issues disappeared? I sure hope so.
You recommend avi? In AFX I turned my mpeg2 into a jpeg sequence..but the corresponding audio file was still out of synch. I will try to conver to AVI in PP2 and see if stays in sync in AFX.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
