So I have two different videos of the same person who is in about the center of the screen in both videos. The first video is more on the left side of the person, while the second was filmed from behind the person. Is there any way to smoothly fake a camera panning motion to make it seem as if the camera is panning around the person from the view on the left to the view from behind? Any way to make the layers 3d, then make a camera layer somehow pan around them? Thanks for any help 😉

You need to create a CG model of the person. Forget about the footage you have it is not going to work for you as you desire it. You cannot make 2-D 3-D, or extruded your image and have a look decent using any kind of camera movement.

But you can put your person on a turntable of sorts and shoot them on blue screen while you rotate THEM instead of the camera. Now you essentially have a 3D model (from one camera angle) and in AE you would match the rotation and angle of the virtual camera to the rotation and angle of the blue screen clip.

Fake 3d. There is a way to make 2d image look 3d but how realistic it comes off is very limited. Basically you manually paint highlights white and shadows black and give it z value.

so you cut each person and make 3d version of each and try panning with a camera but I doubt the quality would be worth effort.
