Hi, for the past couple of weeks I have been creating After Effects footage to be inserted into a program using Avid Media Composer. It has all been shot on DVCam and I have exported several clips from Avid as a psd sequence with Lower field first selected. Imported them into After Effects and now when I render them back out and bring them into Avid, there is a slight juddering/strobing type of problem during big movements of the after effects camera. I have tried exporting anything from uncompressed avi to quicktime with AVid DV codec. I think the field order is correct when importing back in as I have tried it many different ways. Please can someone help as it is being online edited tomorrow! Many thanks, Dan.

Are you in a PAL or NTSC country? If PAL, then your field order is wrong. Also you should have the import settings checked in the Avid where it is being imported, it could be that the import settings are wrong.

    Lots of luck!

Hi thanks for the reply, luckily the deadline has been slightly extended. Yes I am in Pal teritory. What field order would I export from Avid? What file format would u recommend exporting as. psd sequence good to keep the quality up? Thanks again.
