    Hi guys:

I’m a newbie to AE. I bought Riot Gear and Evolution from VideoCoPilot and I made some projects of my own. Here’s the problem: As I export, through Render Queue, a Composition only having Riot Gear stuffs, in low resolution, everything is perfect. However, all my Evolution Compositions, in high definitions, are currently expecting this problem as I export through Render Queue:

After Effects error: unable to allocate space for a 2200 x 1465 image buffer.
You may be experiencing fragmentation. In the Memory & Cache Preferences dialog box, try decreasing the Maximum RAM Cache Size value and selecting the Enable Disk Cache option, increasing Maximum Memory Usage, or both.

Here’s what I’ve done so far: I format the disk, I played around with the Maximum Memory Usage and I have used 15000MB for disk cache…

    It doesn’t work =_______________________=

I have 2GB of RAM and over 70GB of disk space for this tiny project… What can I do?

    Help~~~ T_T

That’s probably far more than you need or want for a disk cache.

The issue may be the size of the layer, but more likely it can be attributed to one or more of the following: effects that are applied to the layer, motion blur on the layer, depth of field, etc. Your solution may be to break the layer into several layers if possible, or to reduce the number of RAM intensive effects on the layer.

    Hi,

I’d recommend having a look at the “Secret” preferences before you render.

Hold down the Shift key, then go to Edit > Preferences > General. Once in Preferences, hit the Previous button and you’ll find the Secret area.

Turn on Disable Layer Cache, and set the Purge to 30 frames. This will increase the chances of your render completing, but it will take a little longer to do it. A fair trade I think. :o)

Remember to reset these settings after you’re finished.

    Hope that helps,
    Ben

    Darby,
I am having a similar problem. I took motion blur off my layer, should that do the trick? Thanks for your post,
