after effects error replacing a layer but keeping the fx
using a digital juice ready2go 1 in after effects, the sunny days template, and i want to replace the First text layer (Main Title) with a logo image and continue to use the effects that were setup for the original main title layer
When i try to alt + drag the image on to the main title layer i get an error:
error 26::335 layer does not have a source
What is the problem and how do i fix this?

That’s the one “gotcha” of the replace footage function – it doesn’t work on text layers. I would suggest just copying/pasting all of the effects and other properties you want to keep to the logo image.
