Ever since upgrading to AE7, I keep getting this error once and a while. It never comes up when creating a new project or even a new text layer. The error happens when I open an existing project, and click on one of the text layers. I click OK when the error window pops up and continue with the project. As a non-Mac guy I would guess that it’s a more general problem with your fonts or the way they are handled by the system. Perhaps you are using some exotic older fonts that do not work correctly with AE 7. The high error code would indicate that this is indeed a very rare error, so you might have better luck by taking this to Adobe directly.

I just tried to delete just about every font on my system, except the two that were used in my project and a few that my system apparently needs. Still, same error.

Good idea, but it doesn’t appear to be the problem, unless I missed something. I still think it has to do with AE since the error didn’t occur until the AE7 upgrade.

I posted the same question on a forum at the Adobe website and someone suggested it might have to do with my fonts as well. I guess I’ll have to live with it unless there any other suggestions out there. Anyone??? Thanks.
