    Hi,
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Everytime I tried opening After Effects, it keeps sending me this error message…

After Effects error: failed to parse transmap file

Even after I opened my After effects, I can’t open any files because of this message…

Hi. I’m from Brazil and my english is not so good, so i hope you can understanding me.

I have the same problem with AE 7, try all the others guys said to do and nothing works. Then I remember one thing: UNICODE is a therminology for fonts, and I had download some fonts one or two days before and when delete this fonts the problem just gone with their.
So what I recomend you to do is:

Go to windows Fonts folder and delete the fonts that have the name follwed by UNICODE Trade Mark and the others in red collor named.

    That works in my case

Could you please tell me how to find those fonts. I mean, do their names end with ‘Unicode’ or contain the word ‘unicode’ or anything? can you give me an example of a font name like that?
