    When i want to render or view a piece of my composition, it wont render or let me preview it because it sais it can no create a 2200 x 2200 image buffer (size of a few solids i have in 3d space) what can i do to fix this?

    I ran into the same problem a couple of weeks ago, with a canvas size of 8700X5333. Evidently, its a lack of memory that causes the problem. Some tricks you can do that worked for me is:
    Edit/Purge
    Lower your Redo count.
    Have no other programs running while you are in After effects.
    Check your Memory/Cache info in Preferences
    Crop the images in Photoshop so they are smaller in After Effects (In my case I was able to crop the image into say 4 chunks, that way I was able to keep the quality and lower the canvas size)

    yes – this is a RAM issue. All of the advice given is good. Also working at 50% and half res, will help while working, but may be a problem while rendering. Make sure to set up AE to purge your RAM cache when you render or you will run into problems there too.
