  After effects error an output module stopped responding?

  I have been troubleshooting all day, but with no luck. I decided to post my own problem and see if I can get more specific answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I have been getting this error when trying to render out a project in After Effects CS5.5 version 10.5.0.253

  

  My project is about 3 minutes long.

  It Estimates: 30-40 mins for render, but after about 8 mins of rendering it shoots the estimation up to 2-3 hours and slows down a ton.

  It gives me the error after about an hour in and only 48 sec of the video is rendered.

  My Computer:
  MacBook Pro 15′
  OS X 10.6.8
  2.4 GHz i5
  8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
