January 7, 2006 at 1:16 amDo you have a previously saved version of the project file? If not, you’ll save incrementally (file01.aep, file02.aep, etc.) next time, yes? 🙂
Right. –
– Have you changed anything in your system since the last time you opened the file?
– Did you try opening with Caps Lock on to prevent updating the screen? If it opens the project, you can then save it under a new name and begin troubleshooting.
– Did you try trashing the prefs?
( C:\Documents and Settings\(yourname)\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\Prefs on Windows )Steve

January 9, 2006 at 4:54 pmI tried all of the above. No go. and the error reads (33::7) not (33::2). I haven’t changed anything on the system. This is just soemthing that suddenly happened for no aparent reason.

January 9, 2006 at 11:44 pmSometimes I have luck by removing all my third party plugins, I doubt it will work for this one but it’s worth a shot. Like Steve I highly recommend the incremental saves (especially since it now has a shortcut) and also setting the output module settings to embed project link and copy so all renders have a copy of the project in them (the default is project link only which is no use if the project is corrupted).
Have you tried opening it on another machine? If you don’t have one handy email me a copy of it and I’ll give it a shot here (remove al the ! and * from address below)g!s!t*e*w*a!r*t!@!!o*n*e!-!k!.*c*o!m
