I’m making a moving video wall – there is a wall of imported video, 6 wide by 12 deep, imported video is standard avi 720×480 files, my video wall length is 30 sec. I am using animated cameras to move the wall about.
The video wall composition size is 1860 x 2473 which is then used in a standard DV composition 720×480 which contains the animated cameras & movement etc.

When I render with all the video in the video wall disabled my composition renders fine with all effects & text etc that is also added.

When I try to render with the video . . . . I always get the following error:

After Effects error: retrieving frame from video stream. (3) (53::34)

What causes this? how to I stop it? the files are there and accessible….any ideas?

    nope not that.

it appears it is something about a codec /material rendered by vegas according to info I found on After Effects website.

I’m going to render portions of what I want to quicktime files and assemble them.

AE can find everything ok – but randomly gives errors due to a bit set by Vegas when it renders AVI files to signal they can be larger tahn 2gb.
