After Effects Drop Shadow Help!
I need some help. I have tried everything I can think of. Here is my Problem,
I am working on a graphic that is made in AI and imported into AE.
I have multiple layers and the graphic has no outside effects such as drop shadows. I layer my graphic in AE how I need it and I make it 3D layers with Nulls to control each layer. What I want to so is move the layers in Z space at the appropriate time to give the appearence that the layer is going behind another layer in space. This all works fine, but when I add a drop shadow to the 3D AI layer the graphic no longer moves into Z Space but rather seems to just scale. It doesnt move through other objects at all. Does anybody have any idea what is going on and how to fix this problem!? -

Here is the solution:
When you apply a layer style it will ignore z-space information! You must apply the ‘Effect>Perspective>Drop Shadow’ for it to function correctly.
