I need some help. I have tried everything I can think of. Here is my Problem,

I am working on a graphic that is made in AI and imported into AE.
I have multiple layers and the graphic has no outside effects such as drop shadows. I layer my graphic in AE how I need it and I make it 3D layers with Nulls to control each layer. What I want to so is move the layers in Z space at the appropriate time to give the appearence that the layer is going behind another layer in space. This all works fine, but when I add a drop shadow to the 3D AI layer the graphic no longer moves into Z Space but rather seems to just scale. It doesnt move through other objects at all. Does anybody have any idea what is going on and how to fix this problem!?

    Here is the solution:

When you apply a layer style it will ignore z-space information! You must apply the ‘Effect>Perspective>Drop Shadow’ for it to function correctly.
