    Hi.

I’m using the last 2017 versions of Pr and Ae. I’m sending lots of shots to Ae through direct link in order to make some stuff to them. All shots and timelines are UHD. Some shots come back from Ae as a 1080 clip (that pink clip in Premiere that shows that now it has an Ae composition embedded) and I have to re-scale it in order to be as before, but I notice that some detail is lost. Others are UHD as it were before, so no problem with those.

    Do you have any tips?
    Thank you

don’t re-scale. there is a bug in the recent version that dynamic link get’s the resolution from the pop up window in Ae and not the composition resolution. the workaround is to set it to full, and the dynamic link will refresh to full as well.

Setting it to full doesn’t work for me. been scratching my head for 3 days now!

Also the ‘export to premire pro project’ from after effects doesn’t work either

    Any other ideas?

this works in my system. I have got a dynamic link comp in Premiere. as soon as I change the resolution popup, it gets updated.

see if your workflow is the same as this:

Resetting playback to full and saving worked for me! ty ty ☺

Shame about the bug tho. Annoying having to remember to change back.

For me the bug was caused opening a cc2016 premiere project with links to a cc2017 ae file.
