After Effects < > Depth Not available. WHY?
first of all sorry for my bad english , i hope you can understand me
i imported .rpf image to AE ,i have cloud movie
when i apply the Depth Matte effect no result .
under Info panel “Depth Not Available” typing
how can i activate depth. -

Are you sure you included the depth cahnnel in the first place?

This happens to me all the time exporting from 3DS Max to RPF file for import in AE. I always ensure z-depth is checked, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I cannot for the life of me figure out why and it is quite frusterating at times. Especially because once it’s not working, I can never get it to start working again. I render with Vray and I’ve ensured that no environment/atmosphere or effects are being rendered out of Max just in case, but so far no luck.
