    Try the following –

    1) Give 2GB or RAM per AE proc.

Given you have 12GB of RAM, you should set aside 4GB for other apps. You then have 8B left for AE. Therefore, you should set aside 4 procs for AE with each proc using 2GB of RAM.

    Cheers

    If i use 2gb I can’t get 4 procs running, i have to use 1.5 wich I did.
And now AESelflink processes are 6 running at the same time without any more progress and I can’t even kill them if I don’t Kill AE first.
    Very strange behaviour…
Thanks for trying to resolve my time consuming problem Roland

If MP is off and yet there are multiple instances of AESelflink then perhaps your Prefs File is corrupted.

To delete the Prefs File and force AE to create a new one, press CMND+OPTION+SHIFT when AE is starting up.

Multiple instances appears only when MT is on. Or when I launch Warp and 3D at the same time. and never quitting.
    I’m gonna let it go. It’s useless…

Wow, thanks so much. I’ve been trying to figure this same issue out for days, and that was the problem. How on earth does popclip cause a problem like that in After Effects??
