After Effects CS4 stuck on initializing media core
Hey I’ve installed After Effects CS4 few months ago and it was working fine. I must of stop using it for like a month and now it wont load up. I start the after effects up and it just stays on ‘initializing media core’. I’ve tried being patient and I’ve waited a good 20mins but nothing changed. I tried uninstalling and installing it back but no luck. I also have Adobe photoshop CS4 and that seems to work fine.
Any suggestions?

Yea i have done that and tried removing the opengl

Do you have third party plug-ins installed?

My Premiere and AE did the same when I had the Boris CC 5 plugins installed. The plugins put a preference file in the c:\windows folder and Vista made it read only.
I’m at school right now, so I can’t check it but it was named BorisFX.something, take the read only tag off and it should work.
If you don’t have Boris FX it might be the same thing with some other plugin.
