    Something very troubling just started happening in my program. I can no longer drag anything from the project menu into the composition menus. Every time I try, I get this message:

    “After Effects error: sorry, the last command could not be completed (-4960).
    0 :: 42”

    Has anyone else been getting something like this?

    Hi Lou –

    The only thing I was able to find related to the problem is that certain Mac OS do not support the particular version of AE:

    It would be helpful if you list the specific version of AE (down to the decimal points), your platform, OS and version. Since I’m on the PC, I’ll step aside (if you’re on the Mac, that is) and let someone more knowledgeable of your OS step in.

    Actually, the problem seems to have fixed itself; all I had to do was reset my computer and I can drag and drop things again. That was strange…
