After Effects crashed after resaving AI file!!!! AHHHH
I’ve been working on an animation in after effects using an illustrator, vectored illustration. the file is very small. Only 7 layers with 1 shape on each layer. I decided to change a few things within each layer, and then resaved. I had been doing this throughout my process, but the last time I tried, after effects crashed. Now I can’t even open any version of the file before it crashes at 75% opening the project… HELP HELP HELP!!! THIS IS A CLIENT PROJECT!!!
I already tried opening with caps-lock on, did not work. I also resaved the AI file exactly how it was while it was still working and that did not work either

What version of Ae, and what version of Ai?
Make a backup copy of your AI file and tuck it away for safekeeping. Then try saving your AI file down to a lower AI version number. Does that help?
