After effects confusion
Hi. I’m trying to edit a movie scene in a movie (raiders of the lost ark) and I want to switch out the golden idol for another object, I have no idea how to do this anyone have any idea?

Hi Ewan, it’s called “compositing” and it is a complex process. There is no button that you can click. Basically you place the new object on a layer above, if something crosses in front of it you need to mask that out and place it on the top layer, then you have to track it to the correct position if the camera is moving – a detailed description would be a epic. You really need to understand the basics of After Effects (layers, masking, colour correction, tracking etc.) A good place to start is here:
