After Effects Composition Preset sharing
Hello,
First time poster, long time reader. I’ve been looking for a way to share Composition presets. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find where they are located. I’m running AE 5.5 on Lion.
Normally I’d be open to the idea of manually inputting them, but we’re looking into a large number of presets.
Does anyone have any idea if this is possible, and if so how? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never tried to manually copy and paste the presets–looks like they’re in binary. But in your preferences file ( User/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/Adobe After Effects 10.5-x64 Prefs ) there is a section called:
[“Composition Presets Section v8”]
I’d make a backup copy of your preferences file before manually editing it, but it might be worth a try.
