I’m having rendering problems in AE CC… When I render my project, in random places it turns out really glitchy. It flashes something random from a different part of the movie for a few frames, it’s like a flickering screenshot. This is definitely NOT in my project files, I have checked and double checked multiple times. Also, when RAM previewing it this problem doesn’t show up at all, only with the final .mov output files. I tried rendering it multiple times with different settings and am still coming up with this problem. I also tried adding my comp to the Adobe Media Encoder que and rendering from there. Still random flickering frames, but not as bad as when simply exporting from AE. Just for fun, I tried rendering the project from CS6 and it’s perfect. No glitches.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Can someone suggest the best rendering setting for a .mov file from AE CC? I don’t want to have to continue creating projects in CC then rendering them from CS6.

I’d suggest clearing your disk cache. Edit > Purge > All Memory & Disk Cache.

Give details about what’s in your composition, including what effects are being used—especially third-party effects.

Thank you so much for the tip. I was having the same problem too. This did the trick. Thanks again.
