August 17, 2013 at 12:13 amLooks like a source clip that is corrupted. More info here – https://myleniumerrors.com/2008/12/14/86-2/.
You will want to google “error 86 :: 2” to gather other sources.

August 17, 2013 at 12:25 am1) BTW, is the error appearing consistently for a particular clip or for others as well?
2) Try replacing the error-prone clip with another source to see if indeed it is the clip. If the clip is indeed a dud, replace it with another copy is ideally from another HD location.
More info will be good –
1) what are you doing when this error occurs?
2) what effects, masks, transforms are applied?
3) does the error occur when the layer is solo-ed?
4) does the error occur at a specific time in the timeline?Cheers

August 17, 2013 at 2:25 pmThe error appears consistently for all quicktimes recently, Ive tried replacing with other clips that are quicktime, they all have a tendency to cause error.
1. The error has occurred when no other programs are running; an im just scrubbing my playhead
2. No effects, masks, or tranforms
3. The error occurs with it soloed and not soloed
4. No specific time in comp does error occur.Thank you so much for the help.
AE6 does not have this problem with quicktimes. Sometimes when I’m running CC I get another error that calls the quicktime a “MOoV” file? With TIFF sequences I’m fine, but that’s alot of transcoding in the middle of a project.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled AE CC, also reinstalled my AJA drivers. I’m running OSX 10.8.2
Thanks again for responding.
