  • After Effects better video format to be used in a Vegas Pro 11 project

Posted by Carlos Silva on October 9, 2012 at 5:52 pm

    Hello,

I just created a video using After Effects (opening animation) but I am not sure what would be the better format (focus on quality) to create the file to be used in a Vegas Pro 11 project.

    May anyone provide suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    Carlos

I would use the QuickTime Animation codec. This is what I use because it also carries the alpha channel information if you need it.

Like John, i too use the Quicktime format, but i use the
Photo-JPEG Codec instead, if no alpha channel is involved.

    Hi Steve,

About to “drop the AEProject directly in Vegas”, are you referring to new Vegas 12 feature? Would it be expected that all kind of projects created in AE be loaded in Vegas 12?

    Bye,
    Cadu
