After Effects Audio
I have been trying to do a project for school using trapcodes sound keys and ive been having problems being able to hear any audio that i put into the timeline. Previewing it and just scrubing threw i dont get any sound. Does anybody have a fix for this??

Those formats also dont work….. I have tried just putting in an .avi video and i dont hear the audio from that either.

First off i guess i should have said in the beginning if you havent figured it out yet but I am new to After Effects. And I appreciate the quick replys and help.
Ive tried all of those things and i keep getting the same error “After Effects error:audio output problem. The specified format is not supported or cannot be translated. Use the Capabilities function to determine the supported formats. (10 :: 65)”
Now i get this error with .avi,.wav, and .aif files. Have any idea what it is im doing wrong?

Check the following settings:
a) Audio sample rate in your After effects preferences.
b) Settings in your audio output device. AE does not play anything beyond 48 khz and it will only do so in stereo at the most. Turn off all surround and DSP settings, that your audio chipset may provide. If it uses a special driver, try to get rid of it or at least temporarily disable it and rely merely on Windows’ DirectSound and standard audio routines.
c) Limit the preview range by shortening the work area (the fat bar at the top of the timeline will do that for you). If it exceeds a certain length (depending on how much RAM you have) it will not play the audio (though AE builds the preview).
