After Effects and Visualizations…
What is the most effective way to create visualizations that are similar to those that play in the backgrounds of i-tunes or windows media player? I am trying to create some visual effects that are somewhat similar to those that play behind your music in the above mentioned programs…Any help or 3rd party plugin suggestions would be appreciated…

simple trick: shoot a real moving curtain and use a kaleidoscope effect in AE……looks pretty cool

Milky Way from Obvious FX can do such things using Milkdrop (WinAmp pluign) presets.
