After Effects and Vegas
Posted by Acornmedia on February 18, 2006 at 9:37 pmI’m looking to add more tools to my productions and After Effects looks like a great add. Can I work with After Effects and Vegas?

February 18, 2006 at 11:19 pmThanks Gary. The last thing I want to do is to spend big bucks on a program that I can’t use…been there, done that. Thanks.

February 23, 2006 at 10:26 pmI use After Effects and Vegas together for complicated animations and effecting all the time, and they work pretty seamlessly. One thing I have noticed, though (and this could just be a setting in my system that haven’t found), is that if I take a piece of footage from Vegas into AE, add an effected layer or somthing, then take it back to Vegas, the footage will be subtly more contrasty than the footage was originally. I really only notice it when I’m mixing footage that has been through AE with footage that hasn’t.
