    hi

I’ve got a a few 3ds files and max files . they contain 3d objects that you can move around . i want to import them in to after effects. i am using adobe suite cs6 .
i tried putting them in photoshop and then transferring them as a psd file , but the objects become flat .(there is no photoshop 3d option in after effects cs6) . is there any way i can import these 3d objects into after effects without flattening them . ( i have access to maya -dont really know how to use it )

Check out Video Copilot’s Element 3D or Zaxwerks’s Invigorator Pro. Both plugins allow you to work with 3D objects in Ae.

You will likely need to convert your 3DS files to OBJ first.
