oh, and btw, when I switch the comp to “standard 3d,” the program crashed but the error message reads “standard 3d” not “advanced 3d”…

    Hi,

Did you try trashing your prefs file?

    I hope this may help.

    Salut.

I tried this by deleting the two prefrences file inthe “library” section of the AE section of my HDD. I was returned to the original AE7 layout, but when I loaded my project, the program crashed…the program also crashes when I load my project onto my laptop…what could I be doing that would cause a crash like this?

    Hi,

Unfortunately it sounds that your project is corrupt. Try to import it in a new ae project and see if this works.
You could send me the project without any media files if you want. (serge_01 at msn dot com)

    Hi.

Turn on the CAPS Lock before start AE, and then delete effect(Advanced 3D). And turn off CAPS lock.

    It will work.

    There is only one, AE!

hi there – I’m getting the same problem now, did you find a solution?

“Turn on the CAPS Lock before start AE, and then delete effect(Advanced 3D)” – the advanced 3D effect is a render plug-in, so you can’t just delete it – due to the design of my project I need it to be in Advanced 3d and not standard 3d….. i’ve tried changing the shadow map size, still no good.

    any other pieces of advice?
