Activity Forums Adobe After Effects After Effects 7.0 audio out of sync with video

I should also note that this happens on the HDV setup…even if I drag audio into the timeline all by itslf, the playhead is way behind where the music actually is in the timeline (huge spikes in the waveform but the playhead hasn’t gotten even close to that spot in the timeline) So I can hear where the music is but visually see that the playhead isn’t caught up.

So it doesn’t have to do with the complexity of the comp at all.

    Any thoughts?

Make sure that in your preferences that you have your video preview turned to “computer Monitor Only.”

… or “faster” instead of “more accurate”. But “computer monitor only” fixes it as well.

… so does setting the Video Monitor Aspect Ratio to match your comp in the Video Preview prefs. “Scale and Letterbox” should be unchecked.

When you do this, you can leave it set to “more accurate” and also view out the video monitor. Win-win. 🙂
