Ok guys… been working in After Effects for ages, thought I had everything figured out in life… but now a zinger.

I’ve been working on 1080i and 720p projects for a while, but I have a client who wants a 1080p project rendered at 29.97fps with the Animation codec. Is this even possible? Isn’t 1080p 30fps? or 60fps? I’ve been doing some research online about 1080p but I’m still confused how I need to set up my After Effects composition. I’ve done 1080i countless times and rendered in Upper Field. But can someone talk me through the steps of starting and finally rendering a 1080p project?

If I read your post correctly, what you are trying to do is de-interlace.

    If so…

    The easy way… File>Interpret>Main>Seperate fields – Off.

    The other way…

search creativecow with key works Kramer Deinterlace

    You’ll find an old tutorial.
