After effect workstation for Raw, Your thoughts?
My computer is no longer strong enough for my Raw full hd footage.
Im trying to build a new pc, my main work is in after effects, the most important thing is that the software will be very responsive and fluid. (timeline straching, masking, previewing….)
The computer will be connected to 2 27 inch screens, 2560×1440 10 bit and full hd 8 bit.What do you think about this system?

Noctua hn-d15
msi x99s sli plus
Ripjaws 4 4x8ddr 2400
gigabyte gtx970 g1 gaming soc 4gbI have 2 issues that im not sure about.
is the best way to use storage with after effects is to put 1 ssd for operating system and softwares, 1 ssd for source video files, 1 ssd for rendering and 1 ssd for cache disk?
is the gpu strong enough for the monitors?

Looks like a good system – one suggestion though, I would use 3 SSDs in Super RAID 2 ( https://event.msi.com/nb/faq/q12.html ) for video, rendering and cache, instead of having a separate one for each. Blazing fast on my machine – no issues with RAW HD files.

hey tudor check out the new samsung 950 pro. It outperforms SATA SSDs by over 4.5 times in sequential read and by over 2.5 times in sequential write, delivering the speeds of 2,500 MB/s and 1,500 MB/s respectively.

So you suggest to have 1 ssd for system and software and 3 ssd working in super raid 2 for the media, video rendering and cache?
reading media and rendering it to the same drive wont slow it down?Do you think the gpu is good enough for the monitors?
