    Hi,

I’ve been trying to find some kind of a shortcut I can use to scale down
images or video footage that I drag into my main composition without changing
the actual structure of the image or video. for example, in photoshop I use:
Shift and the mouse to scale the image down to auto preserve the image structure.
    I hope to be understood.

Are you talking about preserving the aspect ratio of the clip? Shift+click should work in After Effects too. Or select your layer in the timeline and hit the “s” key to open the scale options, making sure the little chain-looking “constrain proportions” button is turned on.

    Hey Daniel, Thank you!
I was trying exactly the same like in photoshop, but was not working…
But I tried just now in a very slowly way and it worked!
Thank you very much for your help.
