  • After crash, some projects appear in fcpbundle but not in library

FCPX crashed (while using ColorFinale Pro…hm…) and my two most recent projects disappeared when I reopened the app. But then I checked in the .fcpbundle and there they are in Finder—but I just can’t get them to appear in the library again.

I’ve seen some people have success in the past by deleting the CurrentVersion.fcpevent-journal file. This library doesn’t have one of those.

I’ve tried deleting the flexolibrary and the plist, trashing preferences and render files, copying events to a new library, and the ol’ computer reboot.

Unfortunately the most recent backup doesn’t include the two projects I need. (I thought backups were saved every ~15 minutes? Last backup was saved two hours before the crash/before I created those projects!)

This has actually happened to me once before–same situation, using ColorFinale. That time I didn’t think to check the fcpbundle though, and just assumed the projects were gone for good. Now I feel like I have a puzzle on my hands.

    Any ideas?

    Peace!
