    after AMC install, entire computer is running slow

    Hello,

    I recently installed AMC on my Macbook Pro 10.12.6 Mid 2012 2.6GH Intel Core i7.

    Ever since then the entire computer barely runs, even when AMC is not in use. The Avid icon that lives in the top menu bar is in a constant spinning wheel of death (even when Avid is not running.) I am unable to even temporarily right click on it to stop it.

    Anyone else run into these issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Anyone that can chime in is going to want to know your OS level, and your MC version. There is first and foremost a compatibility matrix with Macs/Avid that may be your issue.

    Uninstall Avid Link. Then delete this folder:
    /Library/Caches/Avid/AvidLink

    reboot

    Reinstall Avid Link latest version.
