  • Affecting all 3D layers’ Rotation parameter.

Posted by Nagesh Hinge on May 6, 2015 at 6:25 am

I have a scene with 3d planes(Solid layers) and a Camera attached to a Null object, I have placed the 3D planes near and far to the camera. I want these 3D planes to behave like classic billboards (attached character textures) to create a crowd. I want to create a parallax like effect.

My objective is to make all the 3D planes face the camera, ALWAYS. Even when I am moving the camera from point A to Point B.

How can I manipulate the Rotation parameter of all these planes at the same time ?

    Please let me know, thanks.

    Best,
    Nagesh

    Layer>Transform>Auto-Orient

No problem! That makes life a lot easier, doesn’t it?

If you’re actually doing a crowd and you don’t want people to start leaning over or doing somersaults then I’d recommend using this technique:
