Occasionally a process called aeselflik seems to be ramping up my CPU’s am I right in saying it’s something to do with AE if so why is it still active when AE isn’t running?

[Marc Lucas] “Occasionally a process called aeselflik seems to be ramping up my CPU’s am I right in saying it’s something to do with AE”

Yes. aeselflink is the name of the background process launched for multiprocessing with After Effects [link].

[Marc Lucas] “so why is it still active when AE isn’t running?”

It shouldn’t be. What version of AE are you on? Have you updated to the latest version?

What are your system specs? What are your memory & multiprocessing settings?
