  • AES/EBU to Analog for 5.1 monitoring

    Hi,

I was looking for a 5.1 audio monitoring solution, with use with Soundtrack Pro, basically I just want 6 channels of audio coming out the suite to hook up to my amp.

At first I was looking at MOTU and M-Audio firewire boxes, but I just thought why not take the audio out my existing Multibridge Pro. Obviously that has 8 channels of audio via the AES/EBU outputs, I was wondering if there was any solution to convert those channels to analog?

Or an even better solution would be the ability to take it from one of the SDI outputs then I could also hook it up to my Decklink HD card as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve spent a fair amount of time searching on the interweb, but no satisfactory results so far.

    Thanks for any help.

    Kind Regards
    Peter

I use Gefen digital to analog audio converters. each one takes an aes/spdif (or opt) input and outputs 2 channels of analog audio via RCA connectors.
