July 27, 2017 at 12:40 pmin desperation I am going to try and bump this. I have an .ass file of russian subtitles that I need to get into premiere to export to a DCP file for a theatre.
I am running PP CC 2017 on mac.
I can’t import the .ass file directly into premiere. I can’t use ‘subtitle import’ because the software does not seem to exist anymore. I can’t use ‘subtitle edit’ becuase it is for windows only. I am even having trouble getting an accurate .ass to .srt file conversion using Aegisub (i get this weird file when I export that says it is only 4 mins long in premiere – supposed to be 90 – and a frame rate of 1000fps!)
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

July 27, 2017 at 5:39 pmYou could try Belle Nuit Subtitler. They have a Mac version, and they can accept SubStation Alpha files.

September 8, 2018 at 12:09 amI am having the same issue with all of the subtitles being in the center, but I can’t find your solution. Could you give more details on what you did?
