In Sony Vegas, what does the “auto-ripple” effect do for a sound file? How do you get it to work on your sound file?

Auto ripple works however you have it set to work. There’s a little drop-down arrow beside the auto ripple button on the toolbar. Check to see how you have it set – it can do anything from a single track to everything.
Personally, I use auto ripple turned OFF. If I want it to ripple, I use the “Post Auto Ripple” options. Do a search in the help file for more details.
