AE7 + Intel Mac + 10.4.8 = not working for me
hey guys.
i have a macbook pro. which was upgraded from a powerbook g4. I was running AE7 on the powerbook just fine, but when i upgraded the computer and after installing my copy of AE7…it fails to launch. it hangs on ‘initializing user interface’ before the startup window disappears and the fail to open window pops up.
according to the report that’s sent to apple..it says the following:
Exception: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (0x0002)
Code[0]: 0x00000001
Code[1]: 0x00000000i thought it was a preferences thing but after repairing permissions..it still fails to launch.
i had this problem when it was 10.4.7..thinking the OS X was the issue, but after the 10.4.8 update…i’m still getting the same problem.
anybody know what could be causing this? or if there is a fix to make AE7 work under rosetta?

I would say the error comes from the various .xml that include the settings for workspaces/ AE custom user interfaces : somehow they got corrupted
